Andrew (Drew) Nelson is a founding attorney and shareholder at Nelson & Lindquist, S.C. He, along with his beautiful wife Joy, is taking pleasure in raising their three wonderful children right here in Hudson. He has a strong desire to be your family attorney, the one you turn to as your family grows with his. As your attorney, he hopes you develop a great deal of trust and confidence in him. He firmly believes in working in collaboration with his clients to realize their legal objectives, stressing that all clients deserve respect and attention to detail.
Drew grew up in central Wisconsin, graduating from Assumption High School in Wisconsin Rapids, where he was actively involved in a variety of sports including football and baseball. He joined the Boy Scouts at a young age and attained the rank of Eagle Scout. He worked as a camp staff member and later as a camp director for Tesomas Scout Camp in Rhinelander for eleven summers and continues to volunteer there every summer. While there, Drew was honored with the "On Wings of Excellence" award.
After high school, Drew attended Minnesota State University at Mankato and graduated with a degree in law enforcement. It was during this time that he joined the Army Reserves and is proud to have had the opportunity to serve our country for eight years in that capacity. After graduation, Drew attended Michigan State University School of Law for one year before transferring to the University of St Thomas School of Law in Minneapolis, MN, where he received a Juris Doctor in May 2006.
Drew served as a student attorney for the Rice County Attorney's office in Faribault, MN for two years. Additionally, he worked as a law clerk for attorney Steven Dunlap in Hudson, WI. After working for some time as a research attorney at Thompson West in Eagan, MN, and checking out the competition, he decided to open the Nelson Law Office in downtown Hudson, Wisconsin. In April 2009, Autumn Lindquist joined the firm as a shareholder and the name changed to Nelson and Lindquist, S.C.
Autumn Lindquist is a founding member and shareholder at Nelson and Lindquist, S.C. She lives here in the St. Croix Valley with her husband and two beautiful girls who keep them quite busy. You can often find them running to and from dance, Girl Scouts, piano, and miscellaneous school events. During their free time they are biking or hiking through the parks or curled up on the couch watching movies. They enjoy being outdoors, camping, fishing and playing volleyball.
However, in the office Autumn's passion is family law. She enjoys handling complex divorce cases, post divorce matters, child support, and guardian ad litem appointments. She has tried cases involving complex business and financial matters, as well as sensitive placement disputes. Autumn strives to assist in making the hard, emotional decisions, while causing the least amount of trauma to your family. You will find her regularly appearing in numerous circuit courts in Western Wisconsin fighting to do just that.
When she is not helping families, Autumn is working with your local governments. She assists local municipalities in drafting ordinances and contracts and resolving employment disputes. Additionally, she is available to attend the monthly meetings to help answer difficult questions before they become unmanageable issues.
After receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota in 1998, she earned her Juris Doctor from William Mitchell College of Law in 2001. Prior to founding Nelson & Lindquist, she worked here in the St. Croix River Valley, and before that she was practicing in Trempealeau and Jackson counties with a general practice law firm with a wide variety of cases, handling family issues and assisting various municipalities and businesses.
It is the goal at Nelson & Lindquist to treat everyone who walks in the door with the care, consideration, and attention they need. Both Autumn and Andrew understand that trusting an attorney is sometimes a hard thing to do, and they, along with their experienced staff, will do everything possible to help you overcome any reservation.
